Iowa Public Television produced a program, “Profiles in Journalism,” in December 2016 as part of a project bringing attention to the 100th anniversary of the Pulitzer Prize in Journalism. IowaWatch participated in the television program in two ways:

          • IowaWatch Executive Director-Editor Lyle Muller served as one of four panelists on the program along with moderator Dean Borg.
          • Muller conducted interviews IPTV videotaped for use in the program and in several IowaWatch Connection radio programs on this topic.

Joining Dean Borg were: Annah Backstrom, Chuck Offenburger, Michael Gartner and Muller.

IowaWatch was a partner with several organizations, including Humanities Iowa, Iowa Public Television and Iowa Public Radio during the anniversary observance: the 2016 Pulitzer Prizes Centennial Campfires Initiative. The Pulitzer Prizes Centennial Campfires Initiative was a joint venture of the Pulitzer Prizes Board and the Federation of State Humanities Council and Humanities Iowa, a state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
